Where the 'ER' flashback went wrong

So, yes, I was very excited to see Anthony Edwards back on "ER" last night. I like him. I like his character. I like that "ER" took us back to a special time in the show's run.

There was a lot of hype about Edwards' return to the show.

What all the NBC promos and the many newspaper and magazine articles failed to mention is that Laura Innes (as Dr. Kerry Weaver) and Paul McCrane (as Dr. Robert Romano) were both in the episode too. And Romano still had both of his arms!

As I said, I love Anthony Edwards, but I thought McCrane and Innes deserved some props as well. Both are talented actors who played interesting, memorable characters on "ER." They have earned a little love.

    Agreed.

I was pleased and surprised to see all the other cameos. I guess it was a bigger deal with Anthony Edwards since his character is no longer with us.

But those other actors were probably a little peeved to not get their due.

By the way, the episode made me weep.

Don't forget about Jerry. We have seen him in a while either.

Did Weaver die? I quit watching a couple of years ago.

I agree, though, they both should have been given some props. Romano actually showed some humanity from time to time (like when Lucy died and he couldn't save her), so I liked him after that. Kerry - bleh. I just watched part of Deep Impact again on cable and she played the same whiney character on that as she did in E.R.
